WHAT IS DANA?

Giving (dana) is an essential Buddhist practice. It is about generosity and openness, our capacity to embrace others with our compassion and love. Joyful Mountain Sangha's mindfulness sessions, book clubs and events are offered freely with no required membership or registration fees. Any funds donated to the sangha will be used to either:
  1. Cover crucial administrative and technical costs billed annually/monthly to the sangha.
  2. Provide scholarships to assist members with retreat costs due to hardships; priority retreats are those that allow members to receive transmission of the five or fourteen mindfulness trainings.
Donated funds are not spent without the full approval of the Care-Taking Council.
If you would like to offer any financial contribution to the sangha, please scan any of the QR codes with your phone below and enter an amount that speaks to your heart.
